The Glove is best known among the sneaker world for his signature models during the Alpha Project heyday. However, during his latter years he was known to wear some incredible player exclusives from the Jumpman. The white leather upper is combined with the laker gold mudguard for the Home PE look. This Air Jordan 12 Gary Payton PE comes from his time in Los Angeles running the point for a star studded Lakers lineup. hinking back to Jordan’s post-retirement days, there were a number of athletes that were tapped by Jordan to represent the brand.White tumbled leather makes up the upper with yellow gracing the heel, mudguard, and outsole. Asics GT II -“Fresh Blue”| Kickzsofresh.com

The GT-II from Asics doesn’t appear as often as the ever-so-popular Gel Lyte III, however, when it does emerge, you can always expect a dope colorway. Simplicity plays a roll in the coloring of this pair, with a solid blue base built from a combination of suede and mesh. The signature Asics arches are covered in white leather with red trim, complimenting the white tongue tag, lining and midsole, and the red Asics embroidery on the heel.White branding on the side panels and tongue match the white midsole perfectly, and grey is seen on the heel cup and outsole. According to The Good Will Out, a retailer stationed in Germany who’s got supply of the sneakers now, this particular Asics GT-II is a limited release, so don’t be surprised if you can’t find them at your local retailers. This time around they stick with what they are known for and drop a new colorway of the GT-II.TGWO does ship internationally though for those of you in the States or anywhere else in the world who wanna jump on a pair.

1 on 1 with Comedian Dan Levy | authentic retro jordans

Dan Levy may not be a member of an XXL Freshmen Class or even the ATF, but the man certainly knows his sneakers. Having had his own Comedy Central Presents special along with shows on College Humor and MTV, Dan boasts quite the comedy resume. Having around 200 pairs ranging from Jordans to Air Maxes he also boasts quite the collection. We recently got a chance to talk kicks with Dan as he tours with Aziz Asnari on the Dangerously Delicious Tour. Dan shares his love for retro Js and Bo Jacksons, his thoughts on re-releases, and what Justin Timberlake was wearing during their infamous run in.
Nice Kicks: How long have you been into sneakers?
Dan Levy: I’ve always liked sneakers. When I was growing up I’d get one pair of shoes per year and that was it. I remember having the Off White/Maroon 6s and thinking, ‘wow these are the best shoes of all time’. Then I became an adult and realized I could buy as many as I want! Doing stand up and getting on MTV made it easier to get hooked up. Sportie LA would offer me stuff to wear on my show, and then it just spiraled from there.
Nice Kicks: When did you start collecting?
Dan Levy: I started collecting shoes probably around 2003. For me it’s always been about nostalgia. I got into it when they started re-releasing the Jordans in the early 2000s. I met this dude Josh at college who was a crazy sneakerhead. I visited him in LA and he had one of those closets, and I was just like, ‘this is ridiculous’ and I need this. He took me to UNDFTD and the rest was history. I bought the Olympic 7s in 2004 and from then it was on.
Nice Kicks: How big is your collection?
Dan Levy: I probably have around 200 pairs of sneakers. Some are complete deadstock; I have a sneaker room. Everything is in boxes: Jordans, Air Maxes, Air Trainers. The Air Trainers I love so I have like four pairs of those. Then in my bedroom I have all of my out of the box stuff- tons of PUMAs and Air Max 95s. Stuff I wear everyday that’s kinda dirty. My Space Jams are the same way now, but I’m ok with it. Shoes get dirty, gotta move on with my life.
Nice Kicks: Do you have a favorite pair?
Dan Levy: The Grapes (Air Jordan 5) are my favorite shoe. My top 3 are the Grapes, the grey and yellow Bo Jackson Trainers, and the Air Jordan 1s. The 1s look good with everything, you can wear them anytime anywhere.

Kicks On Court: Kobe Bryant’s Greatest Sneakers of 2009-2010 [authentic retro jordans]

Date: February 5th, 2010
Location: Staples Center
Opponent: Denver Nuggets
Analysis: Kobe Bryant debuted the “Bruce Lee” Nike Zoom Kobe V during a nationally televised game against the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers loss to the Nuggets for the second time during the 2009-2010 NBA season; however, Kobe won over many fans with this colorway of his fifth signature shoe. Nike paid tribute to Kobe’s love for Kung Fu with this special design. The Flywire-laced, low-cut basketball sneakers were frowned upon when they first surfaced. The yellow upper and laces are directly inspired by the yellow bodysuit Bruce Lee wore in “The Game of Death”. There are also four red scratch marks on the lateral toe area. These marks duplicate the scratches Bruce Lee took while fighting in “Enter the Dragon”.

Supra Skytop Releases – Holiday 2010

After previewing Supra’s entire Holiday 2010 Collection earlier this month, we now provide you with a closer look at the new Skytop’s. The season brings us four new colorways of Chad Muska’s original pro model, most of which are pretty subdued in colors.Supra has released the Skytop in four new colorways for Holiday 2010 – Black Suede with Grey and Red Cordura Nylon, Black and Grey Full-grain Leather, Black Full-grain Leather with Grey Fleece and White TUF Duct Tape. The pair to the right of those sports a full-grain leather base with grey on the front and midsection and black on the heel. Moving on to the third pair, the ones on the bottom left, black full-grain leather is used to build the base of these while grey fleece acts as trim. The upgraded version seemed to be getting a lot of love, but nothing is ever as good as the original. This particular pair is a TUF model and it’s part of the White TUF Duct Tape Pack which also includes a Skytop II.

Real Nike SB Dunk High Premium by Ron Cameron Unreleased Samples

One of Ron Cameron’s trademarks i his art is his unique illustrations of eyes; whether it be of an anthropomorphized sun, moon, cat, or bird, his consistency has led to a calling card of sorts – and that can be seen in one of two unreleased samples of the Nike SB Dunk High that he designed as part of the Nike SB ‘Artist Series'. The Gold Mine, a new sneaker cosignment shop in San Francisco, shows us two unreleased SB Dunk Highs designed by Ron Cameron. Ron is a skateboarder and an artist. The second pair showcases Ron Cameron’s penchant for bright and rich colors, as depicted by the royal blue, yellow, and fuschia pink with the matching paint speckling on the midsole and laces. Both designs were unfortunately unreleased but West Coast-based consignment shop Gold Mine got a hold of these two, so take another look at each pair after the jump and let us know what you think.
