Nike has paid homage to the year 2011 by releasing women tennis classics bearing a rabbit on the inner sole.Nike Sportswear looks to continue its tradition of releasing a special capsule of select footwear honoring the Chinese Zodiac.As an ode to the Chinese New Year, which begins on February 3rd, Nike Sportswear put together a two-pack of Tennis Classic’s that includes a pair for the guys and a pair of the ladies. The colorways are simple: white/gold/black and white/red. Be on the lookout for more colorways. It’s unknown if they sneakers are scheduled to release in the US, but online reseller Kix-Files is accepting pre-orders now with an for anybody who’s interested in getting their hands on a pair.

Hometown ‘Born & Raised’ Spring 2011 Catalog Coming @ kickzsofresh.com

Taiwanese based clothing company, Hometown, has released their new catalog for the 2011 Spring season. The fresh collection is appropriately called “Born & Raised”, echoing the concept of home-grown brand imagery. Hometown’s visionary collection translates a transformation from school uniforms to casual street wear. The selection of clothing ranges from dress shirts to cardigans and even to a wide variety of jackets. The catalog was photographed by Joe Chen in the ancient district of Taiwan.

Vans Vault linked up with San Francisco-based artist and designer Scott Barry to produce its limited edition book “Between You and the Ground,” which doubles up as the brand’s lookbook for the Spring 2011 season.The 30-page book features two custom pinwheels highlighting the Dead Stock Canvas Projectwith Ludwig and new styles from Taka Hayashi.A limited run will be made available at all US Vault retailers free of charge while supplies last.

Fall In Love With Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring/Summer 2011 Bags Show

While it’s still cold for most of us, it doesn’t hurt to look forward to the Spring months which will be here before we know it. Louis Vuitton has been preparing themselves properly with an upcoming line of men’s bags for warm months and some look very impressive. They come with ingenuous details such as numerous straps and handles, zips and convenient pockets. “It’s a rhapsody of three virtual scenarios for a digital bohemian, a man who travels the world from behind his computer screen” says Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Studio Director Paul Helbers under the artistic direction of Marc Jacobs.

The collection includes five different styles of bags which include the Utah Tattoo (above), Damier Adventure, Monogram Impression, Articles de Voyage and lastly, the Utah Leather.Washed denim tote styles, with either LV Monogram large scale or “Louis Vuitton Articles de Voyage” archive signature bring a military feel to the collection.  If I was stacking money to the ceiling I’d be picking one of those up. As Modern Notoriety showed you a few weeks ago, TSG has supplied us with a new image of the Air Jordan V 5 White-Varsity Red-Midnight Navy that most doubted to be released. A few weeks ago, we were misinformed about the this particular shoe but we finally have a picture of the exact color placement on this new V.The shoe features a patent leather upper, 23 stitched on the side, 3m tongue, obsidian inner and midsole. The Air Jordan 11 is responsible for starting the “Cool Grey” frenzy, but it’s not the only sneaker in Jordan Brand’s extensive catalog to have used the signature colorway.Cool Grey leather is in place on the mudguard, with a hit of a different shade appearing near the heel.The Air Jordan 3, 4 and 9 have all appeared in Cool Grey color schemes, as have the Spizike’s and the Jordan 16.5.The cool grey mudguard features a matte flat leather finish with a white mesh upper, white midsole, and a gum bottom sole.Inspired by the Jordan 11 and the Air Max 1, the sneakers consist of a white mesh base, a cool grey mudguard, medium grey canvas around the ankle and a white midsole with a gum underbelly. Cool grey also appears within the visible Air unit.

Jordan Brand has yet to confirm any release details for the Jordan CMFT Viz Air 11 “Cool Grey”, but the rumor mill suggests the sneakers are expected to release sometime soon as a quickstrike. Further confirmation will follow when we have it.
